Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Guwahati & Transfer to Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station where our representative will greet you. Begin your North East adventure with a scenic drive to Shillong, stopping at Umiam Lake for breathtaking views. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and explore Police Bazaar for local shopping and cuisine. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 - Shillong to Cherrapunjee
Post breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee, famous for its rainfall and lush landscapes. En route, visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. In Cherrapunjee, explore Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Arwah Cave. Spend the evening soaking in the serene mountain atmosphere. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 3 - Cherrapunjee – Double Decker Living Root Bridge
Start early for the trek to Nongriat village to witness the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a masterpiece of traditional Khasi ingenuity. The trek takes you through dense forests, natural streams, and suspension bridges. Return by evening and relax at your Cherrapunjee hotel. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 4 - Cherrapunjee – Dawki – Mawlynnong – Shillong
After breakfast, travel to Dawki and enjoy a boat ride on the glass-like Umngot River. Continue to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia, and take in the views from the Sky Viewpoint overlooking the Bangladesh plains. Drive back to Shillong for your final night in the North East hills. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 5 - Shillong to Guwahati Departure
