Guwahati → Shillong (2N) → Cherrapunji (3N) → Guwahati. Adds a full day for the Double Decker Living Root Bridge trek at Nongriat, plus a more relaxed pace.

6 Nights / 7 Days: Meghalaya with Kaziranga
Guwahati → Shillong (2N) → Cherrapunji (2N) → Kaziranga (2N) → Guwahati. Adds a jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park to see the one-horned rhino. Safari availability is seasonal.

How do I reach Meghalaya from Siliguri?
Most guests fly from Bagdogra to Guwahati. From Guwahati, Shillong is about 100 km, or around 3 hours by car.

What is the best time to visit Meghalaya?
October to May is the most comfortable time for sightseeing. The monsoon (June to September) is when the waterfalls are at their best, but heavy rain can affect road travel and treks.

Do Indian tourists need a permit for Meghalaya?
No. Indian citizens don’t need any permit to visit Meghalaya.

Is the living root bridge trek difficult?
The Double Decker Root Bridge trek has around 3,000 steps each way. It is doable for most healthy adults but tiring for elderly guests. We can suggest easier root bridges if needed.
